OFFICIALLY DESIGNATED GREEKTOWN LOCATIONS
Greeks started to arrive in 1800s but in much greater numbers after the 1900s. Greek towns started to develop in these early days and became the center of the Greek business districts across the country. In these areas, businesses where once overwhelmingly Greek owned but as the demographics dramatically started to change, many Greeks were displaced and moved their businesses to different areas of these cities. Although these locations are not an "Officially Designated Greektown", most of these areas still have some remnants of the Greektowns they once were and some still have a few of the great Greek businesses that make visiting Greektown and wonderful cultural experience! OPAAA!!!
